St. Paul’s and the Henri Dennis School Seven years ago our church formed a relationship with a school in the war-torn region of Topoe Village, Liberia (West Africa). Not sure of the future stability of the country, we were led by our belief that God would guide us and that our faith in the people of the United Methodist Church conference in Liberia would prevail. God has certainly blessed our church with a mission program that has, and continues to provide, many benefits and blessings for the staff and children of the Henri Dennis School … and for the congregation of St Paul’s. During the last seven years, we have:
Our most recent trip (February 2009) allowed our team to further strengthen our relationship with school staff and conference members. They know we will partner with them to help realize their vision of having a self-sustaining center of education in a community that is desperately in need. Traveling such a great distance to witness God’s love through the efforts of every member of St. Paul’s instills emotions in the team that are quite special to each and every one of us. Bringing those feelings back home to increase the awareness of how we can be better followers of Jesus is always the real work of the mission. — Your 2009 Henri Dennis Team Rev.
