SUPPORT MINISTRIES
"We love because God first loved us." I John 4:17
Nobody wants to go through hard times, but we all do. if you're struggling, we want to be there for you in Christian love. This is a congregation of people who need each other and care about each other in all circumstances and needs. Below are some of our existing ministries. Please let us know how we can help!
Hospitals Visits, etc.
Please call the church office if you are ill, hospitalized, facing surgery, etc. Our pastors are committed to serving as messengers of God's love during these times. Sometimes difficult situations lead to faith questions. We are here to help.
Faith Questions/Life Crises
Please feel free to make an appointment with any of our pastors. We are here to assist, as well as direct you to other places that can help. spiritual direction is available through all the pastors.
Homebound Ministry
Our church is committed to staying in touch with those who can no longer attend church due to health restrictions or other reasons. Rev. Dwayne Kelsey is Pastor of Visitation. Call the church office if you would like a visit.
The MINISTRY of Hospitality
Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their
sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are
raised, and the poor have good news brought to them." - Matthew 11:4-5
One of the most important ministries at St. Paul's involves the hospitality we offer to each person who walks through our doors. For some, ours may be the only smile or acknowledgement they receive all day. The St. Paul's Greeter Ministry is seeking people who have quick smiles, enjoy making connections with people, and will commit to greet at a worship service for one month each year. We're looking for teens, couples, singles, families, and retirees . . . anyone who feels called. If you have this gift of hospitality, we will provide training, encouragement, and fellowship. Please . . . join us! For more information contact Dick & Linda Bradshaw or Leslie Schneider (get their numbers from the church office).

St. Paul's is developing a Health Ministry program that will provide health education for the congregation and will serve as a liaison to community resources. Scheduled blood pressure check Sundays, CPR classes, other health issue informational sessions, and the annual flu shot clinic are a few of the services that will be provided throughout the year. The planning committee would like to compile a list of church members who have medical training and would be able to volunteer some of their time and training to take part in the BP check Sundays or other health related programs that will be offered to the church. Contact Debbie Branham, St. Paul's Parish Nurse (get her phone # from the church office 248-652-9361), with your name and phone number if you would like to become a part of this new and valuable service to our church families. |

Sharing and Caring is a support Group for those recovering from a recent loss of a loved one. The special purpose is to gain support, friendship, and healing. The all-important sharing time provides an opportunity to reach out to each other with love, understanding, and hope. We will meet the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 in the Parlor. Contact Donna Beerer (get her phone number from the Church office).
