November 12, 2019:  Our children participated in a hands-on service project on Sunday, November 10 for Methodist Children’s Home Society. We combined their love for art, God, and neighbor by making 7 stepping stones for the Animal Assisted Therapy Farm. Led by Leara Glinzak if I Light Art Therapy, we shared and taught about how animals teach us about care, loyalty, and unconditional love. These stones will be dedicated at the November 17 concert in Kresge Chapel and installed this spring.

As part of the gift, the children also wrote letters to the boys at MCHS. The letters had profound wisdom and encouragement and portions are shared below.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it because… everyone loves you and believes in you”

“Be Brave. Do good, seek peace and go after it!”

“Your future is bright! You are the definition of awesome! You are so smart and talented! Don’t let anyone tell you different!

“You are You, and that’s all you need!”

“In the dark, you are the light!”

“You are one of a kind. Remember that.  One of a kind!”

“I am your friend. You don’t know me but, all strangers are your friend.”
