January 21, 2020:  On Sunday, January 19, Rochester St. Paul’s UMC presented a “big check” to Methodist Children’s Home Society.  After a year of diligent fundraising efforts raising $30,186.20 and hands on service projects, the new Animal Assisted Therapy Program and Farm was successfully launched on their campus in Redford.  The boys who live in residence are able to participate in weekly therapy sessions with a trained animal handler and work on the farm tending to chickens, goats, and pigs.  MCHS Chief Development Officer, Kathryn Woodstock, was present to celebrate the generosity of our congregation and receive the check with gratitude.

We give thanks to God for this kingdom sized dream having been made a reality. We did it, TOGETHER!!!
