April 8, 2020:  Night of 100 Blessings

During youth group in March, the students were given a challenge called Night of 100 Blessings.  Various groups of students were given $100 to use on any service project of their choice.  There are no rules, only to use the money to bless others however they decide to do so.  The following story is an example of how one student chose to fulfill this service project.
The police and firefighters work around the clock to keep us safe, no matter what the situation.  During a pandemic their job becomes even more challenging. To show love and appreciation during this challenging time, one of our high school youth, Sydney put together Easter baskets for the Rochester Police and Fire Departments. The baskets included various items such as, hand lotion, protein bars, a “breathe” candle, stress balls, decks of cards, candy, and frisbees.
Sydney also made baskets for some of her HS senior friends at St. Paul’s who were feeling disappointed because their senior year was cut short. All the baskets were delivered on Palm Sunday.
