St. Paul’s Scholarships
There are now two different scholarships available to members of St. Paul’s:
- St. Paul’s Scholarship
- United Methodist Women’s Scholarship.
St. Paul’s Scholarship
The St. Paul’s Scholarship Fund was created in 2013 to provide scholarships to eligible members of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church who have demonstrated service to the church or community. Scholarships may be used for tuition or room and board at an accredited college or university, vocational program, apprenticeship or training program.
St. Paul’s United Methodist Women Scholarship
St. Paul’s United Methodist Women offer scholarships for women and youth members of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Educational scholarships in the amount of $250 will be available for higher education and camp scholarships ($250) will be available for summer camp.
To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be an active participant of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and must have demonstrated service to the church or community.
The education scholarship may be used for higher education at an accredited institution, art or music study or college admission test preparatory course. The education scholarship is available to female church members age 16 or older who have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the camp scholarship will not be available in 2020. The camp scholarship may be used for Christian summer camp and is available to boys and girls up to the age of 18 who are members of St. Paul’s, or whose family are members of St. Paul’s if the child is younger than confirmation age. The scholarship is not available for St. Paul’s youth work trip.
Application deadline is April 15 and completed applications must be received in the church office by close of business on that date to eligible for consideration.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted.
