Youth Ministry Fall Scheduling Update

Following the lead of Rochester Community Schools, I am planning on all Youth activities being outside until October 1.  If it rains we will cancel. After October 1 we can re-evaluate in person activities based on RCS, governor, etc.

Since we will not be providing dinner in the near future at Sunday evening Youth Group, we will meet 5 – 6:30 p.m.  That way students still have time to have dinner with their families after youth group.

September 20, 27 – 5 – 6:30 p.m.; outside at church, weather permitting

October 4 – plan on moving inside if we have a safe plan in place that does not violate governor’s orders. (Of course, I am happy being outside as long as possible, I just don’t trust Michigan weather.)

As with everything we’ve experienced over the past 5 months this is definitely a fluid plan. We may switch to or add zoom options if necessary but I am concerned about the youth zooming all week for school.  We will wait and see how it goes.

All activities at church, at this time, require masks and a completed Covid questionnaire. If you have any fun outdoor activities that are “covid safe” please share them with me.  We will need to be extra creative this year.

I look forward to an awesome year!

Confirmation is one of the rites of passage, a milestone in a young Christian’s life.  We invite seventh and eighth graders to participate in this year’s Confirmation experience at St. Paul’s, led by Rev. Erin Fitzgerald.

Journey MS Youth Group is a place where students can explore their faith with their peers. During Journey we will provide fun and interesting opportunities for the students to get to know each other as well as grow closer to God.
