March 14, 2017: Rochester Area Neighborhood House and St. Paul’s Mission Council thanks all those who helped, attended and donated to the Empty Bowls Soup and Bread event on Ash Wednesday, March 1. It was a great success generating over $1,300 which went directly to Neighborhood House. The delicious soups were donated by seven restaurants: Downtown Cafe, Too Ra Loo, Gus O’Connor’s, Half Day Cafe‘, Shepherd’s Hollow, The Golden Eagle and Kosch’s Catering. Breads came from Give Thanks Bakery, Hollywood Market and Papa Joe’s.
Over 150 people enjoyed soup, bread and conversation before attending the youth-led Ash Wednesday worship service in the Sanctuary.
