December 12, 2017: Our youth have been busy! In the last month they have had a blast with these mission related projects:
Operation Christmas Child – as our November service project, the youth put together 50+ shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene products, and a handwritten note to send to children in other countries. These will be delivered throughout the Christmas season to share God’s love with the world.
#HoustonStrong fundraiser – On December 3, our youth group raised $823 selling handmade pretzels and apples to benefit our summer work trip to Houston, TX. Thanks to all who helped make the goodies, pack, sell, and purchase them. We appreciate your generosity of time and money.
Christmas Caroling for a Cause– the youth went Christmas caroling on December 10 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. It was very meaningful and fun, spreading good cheer throughout the hospital. The staff and patients really appreciated our Christmas spirit and stellar singing skills.
