St. Paul’s has been proclaiming God’s love in Jesus Christ, reaching out to the world in love, and caring for each other for a long, long time.

150+ years is a long time by American church standards. It’s especially a long time by Michigan United Methodist standards. The people of St. Paul’s have continually fostered a strong and warm community throughout the years.

In 2008, to commemorate our 150th anniversary, we published Stepping Stones, a 150-page history book. It contains the stories of faith, courage and vision that have long been part of our St. Paul’s heritage.

Through the years, we have overcome challenges through faith, together with God and each other. We have celebrated great joys, growth and changes that Christ has led us through. There have been moves, buildings, new pastors and always … the power of the Spirit directing, sustaining and uniting us.

We continue to grow stronger, closer and better informed, together. We are an enlightened congregation with members sharing time, talents and gifts to amplify the Word of God.
