A letter from our pastor
Dear St. Paul’s Family: God did it again! When there is a need, St. Paul’s is faithful and responds. Last year, during our Every Member Commitment (EMC), we asked members to step out in faith and do a little more so our church could do a lot in God’s name. Rev. Amick's Advent Prayer: Up Off the Couch

Our theme for St. Paul's Education is “The Best Part of Waking Up is Jesus in Your Life.” Each month we will focus on one of the many characteristics of Jesus. As you can see, our symbol is a sunrise with Jesus as what makes waking up worthwhile.
Let’s think about Jesus as a Friend. We hope you will join us as we celebrate having Jesus as the center of our lives and a friend beside us 24/7.
The Best Part of Waking Up is . . . JESUS THE TEACHER
The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had aurhority.
Mark 1:22

We will be studying midrash. Midrash is the discovety of meanings other than literal ones in the Hebrew Bible. It is derived from the root darash (to inquire).
Bring your Bibles and get ready to investigate and really delve into scripture. Learn amazing stories from the Hebrew Bible that will "change for the better the way we all look at Scripture.
Not as magic but as spiritual meaning for our times. Not as mystery, but as a new and real presence in our own lives." Sister Joan Clhittister
